Peru SEEDxp

The application for Peru SEEDxp is now closed.

If you have any questions, you can contact Liz Allred at: liz.allred@usu.edu.

SEEDxp is a concentrated, global-focused, and impact-driven social entrepreneurship experience in association with the Small Enterprise Education and Development (SEED) Program. Participants will act as on-the-ground consultants with local entrepreneurs in Peru with a specific aim to accelerate these clients’ small businesses in a real-world and real-impact collaboration.

While working within the structure of the nationally and internationally recognized and awarded USU SEED program, SEEDxp students have a unique directive that will generate positive change for local, small business owners in three ways:

  1. Through a diverse and highly concentrated team-based project, students will determine value-driven insights for these local entrepreneurs
  2. Based on these insights and through program funding, students will procure goods, equipment, and/or marketing materials that directly benefit these entrepreneurial clients
  3. Born out of SEEDxp project assistance and the accompanying insights will be a robust platform that the semester-long SEED interns will build upon to promote sustainable and growth-driven systems.

Students who participate in SEEDxp will have a greater understanding of the skills and complexities of business development, social change, and community-based impact within a transformative life experience.

NOTE: SEEDxp is ideal for students with limited time for travel during the summer and/or who are aiming to strengthen their application for the selective full semester SEED internship. Students taking part in SEEDxp will be led by Center for Entrepreneurship directors of the Huntsman Impact and Venture Execution (HIVE) Lab and the SEED program.
