Welcome to Utah State University's Jon M. Huntsman School of Business. The mission of our MBA program is to provide students with a relevant and rigorous background in business subject matter, to increase student problem-solving and critical analysis skills, and to develop the next generation of business leaders.
In Fall 2012, the Huntsman School of Business is unveiling an all-new, ONE-YEAR MBA. Created in collaboration with Harvard Business School professors, business leaders, employers and former students, this new MBA curriculum has been streamlined to provide the knowledge and tools necessary to compete in today’s global business environment in an innovative and cost-effective one-year program.
With a one-year MBA, you not only spend less on tuition, but you get out into the workforce faster. For many Huntsman students, that’s a $100,000 advantage versus a traditional two-year MBA program.
The new curriculum focuses attention to KNOWING, DOING, and BEING, the model used in the recent curriculum overhaul at Harvard Business School. Many courses have been redesigned to half-semester instead of full semester, offering a condensed program that focuses on the necessary content while eliminating the redundancy of content taught during undergraduate business classes that traditional two-year programs repeat during their first year.
Hands-On, Real-World ExperienceHuntsman MBAs receive hands-on experience with real-world projects, receiving not just textbook knowledge, but practical know-how and the ability to put ideas into action within every corner and every function of his or her organization.
Our students are trained to lead, manage and improve business performance. They know how to commercialize profitable ideas faster, cheaper, and more successfully. They possess the know-how to improve existing businesses and create new businesses, and are armed with cutting-edge intelligence and analytic tools to gain a deeper and clearer understanding of both domestic and global markets, customers and competition.
