Biography

Dr. Merideth Ferguson is an Assistant Professor in the Management Department at Utah State University. She earned her Ph.D. in Organization Studies from Vanderbilt University. She teaches the Introduction to Human Resources and Negotiation courses. Prior to coming to the Huntsman School, she taught Negotiation at Baylor University. She is also the advisor for the Huntsman school’s chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Merideth’s research focuses on two main areas: bad employee behavior and the work-family interface. She is particularly interested in how abusive supervision and workplace incivility cross over to affect an employee’s family experiences. Current research also investigates the impact of mindfulness at work and how being part of a work-linked couple affects spouses’ abilities to support one another.
