Biography

Born in Idaho and raised in Montana, Donette Sorenson attended BYU Idaho and received her Administrative Assistant Certification from Bridgerland Applied Technology College in 2004. Donette brings 20 years of experience as a production supervisor in the electronics industry and experience in office administration with local government. Included in this, Donette has experience traveling abroad and working with training programs in Ireland and Taiwan.

A longtime resident of Logan, Donette and her husband are “empty nesters”. Her husband and oldest son are both graduates of the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at USU. Her youngest son graduated from USU in geology. Her daughter is a graduate of Montana State University in geography and is currently enrolled in the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education & Human Services at USU pursuing her teaching certification.

Her outside interests are traveling, camping and whitewater rafting with her family. She also has a great attachment to the family’s black Labrador Retrievers – Rio, Kaz and Mica – who she takes great pride in and affectionately refers to as her “grand-doggers”.
