The following page of questions and answers outline the Huntsman School Marketing resources available to clubs and organizations to assist in their marketing efforts.
Publication Design Production (PDP) and the TSC Copy Center are great on-campus resources for printing. As representatives of the Huntsman School, please be generous with the time you give the printers for printing.
Clubs are responsible for all costs associated with printing projects. Check with the departmental staff over your club for payment assistance.
Printed items may be hung on delegated bulletin boards on the first, second and/or third floors in common areas and in classrooms and department floors within the business building. Do not attempt to tape, staple or hang posters on the building's windows, doors or bare walls (including entry ways). Breaking these rules will result in disposal of your items.
Clubs can hand out fliers, but please be cautious not to litter on campus or in the business building.
One representative from each club will need to complete training for the Content Management System (CMS) being used by the Huntsman School. Once the training has been completed, that individual will be granted access to your club site and all plug-ins used on the site.
To schedule a training, contact the School’s webmaster, Shara Gibbons, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Club sites are a representation of the Huntsman School of Business, therefore they must follow the same website branding rules established for the School. Clubs must use the approved Huntsman School template and heading and paragraph styles (they may not be overwritten). Plug-ins supported by the Content Management System (CMS) should be used, in addition to Qualtrics. External forms, calendars, etc., are not approved for use.
The following document outlines all mandatory website rules/guidelines for use: Huntsman School Website Guidelines.
All other questions regarding website rules and guidelines should be directed to the School’s webmaster, Shara Gibbons, at email@example.com.
Students cannot receive emailing lists to any targeted group at Utah State University. The best way to promote your initiatives via email is to add your event to the calendar at huntsman.usu.edu/calendar where it will be included in the Week At A Glance weekly email.
Please submit any major events to firstname.lastname@example.org for coordination on the Huntsman School internal calendar. Once your date has been approved, we will put this information on the Huntsman School public events calendar which can be accessed through the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business Events Calendar: http://huntsman.usu.edu/calendar.
The public events calendar is open to anyone in the school. We strongly encourage reviewing this calendar before planning your event to avoid scheduling multiple events in the same time period.
By submitting an event to the public event calendar, your event will automatically be publicized in the Week-at-a-glance email and on the lobby TV calendar feed.
The Week-at-a-glance email is sent out every Friday during a semester to students, faculty and staff. All events submitted by 11 a.m. on the previous Thursday will be included in the following day’s email.
It is highly recommended that clubs who want to blog about their club/event submit blog postings to be included in the Huntsman School Blog - http://www.huntsmanschool.blogspot.com/. The School’s blog is established with an active following and blog posts are also promoted through the School’s social media outlets.
To make arrangements to submit a post, contact Klydi Heywood at email@example.com.
Clubs should email Klydi Heywood at klydi.heywood @usu.edu with the details of the promotion. You can also send a private message to the School’s Facebook page, mention @Huntsman_School on Twitter or post in the Huntsman School LinkedIn Group.
Also, please ensure your club’s social media outlets are connected to the School’s outlets.
