USU students honored at Phi Beta Lamba national leadership conference in Chicago

Last June, six USU Jon M. Huntsman School of Business students participated in the Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference in Chicago, Illinois. Phi Beta Lambda is a professional association for students pursing business careers. In addition to participating in professional development workshops, these students also put their business skills to the test by competing against other students from across the country.

The awards were part of a comprehensive competitive events program sponsored annually by Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. (FBLA-PBL). Individuals, state teams, and local chapters are encouraged to compete in 50 different events representing a wide range of activities and the business and leadership development focus of FBLA-PBL. The winners of these highly competitive and prestigious awards are selected from among PBL's national membership of 10,800 and represent some of the best and brightest of today's college business students.

Award winners from USU include John Nguyen (4th place in Financial Analysis & Decision Making), Colin Jackson (5th place in Database Design & Applications), Tyler Smith (6th place in International Business), and David Alder (7th place in Sports Management & Marketing).
