USU–PBL National Award Winners
USU Students Honored at Phi Beta Lambda National Leaadership Conference in Nashville
Seven USU Jon M. Huntsman School of Business students participated in the Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, this June. Phi Beta Lambda is a professional association for students pursing business careers. In addition to participating in professional development workshops, these students also put their business skills to the test by competing against other students from across the country. Michael Bailey, an Economics major, placed first in the Economic Analysis and Decision Making event. He also placed 3rd in the Economic Concepts event.
The awards were part of a comprehensive competitive events program sponsored annually by Future Business Leaders of America–Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. (FBLA-PBL). Individuals, state teams, and local chapters are encouraged to compete in 50 different events representing a wide range of activities and the business and leadership development focus of FBLA–PBL. The winners of these highly competitive and prestigious awards are selected from among PBL’s national membership of 10,800 and represent some of the best and brightest of today’s college business students.
Other award winners from USU include Alex Sielatycki (2nd Place Financial Concepts and 5th Place Financial Analysis and Decision Making), Dale Atchley (3rd Place C++ Programming and 10th Place Information Management), Olivia Spencer (5th Place State Business Report), and Megan Janzen (6th Place Accounting Analysis and Decision Making and 9th Place Accounting for Professionals).
