Eccles Foundation Endows Business Chair
Recently, the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation funded the first fully endowed chair at Utah State University in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business . The foundation’s generous gift honors the memory of a man who was the key moving force behind First Security Corporation, the oldest multi-state bank holding company in the United States. The George S. Eccles Chair will attract an outstanding faculty member who will advance the college’s standard of academic excellence.
Utah State’s Jon M. Huntsman School of Business has been a frequent recipient of the foundation’s generosity. The organization helped establish and continues to sustain the Partners in Business program. The foundation also funded the furnishings and a recent state–of–the art technology upgrade in the George S. Eccles Business Building.
