Providence, UT Meltwater News - February 27, 2008The Shingo Research Prize Recognizes Excellence - The Shingo Research Prize will be presented to the authors of five books and one unpublished journal article during the 20th Annual Shingo Prize Conference and Awards Ceremony, to be held March 31st -April 3rd at the Adams Mark Hotel,Dallas Texas. The awards banquet will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. The Shingo Research Prize had applicants this year that included workbooks, papers, and DVDs; addressing lean accounting, lean software development, training within industry, leadership, culture, and management processes. The quality of applications was outstanding. The 2008 Shingo Research Prize Recipients are: Accounting for World Class Operations by Jerry Solomon and Rosemary Fullerton; Easier, Simpler, Faster -- Systems Strategy for Lean IT by Jean Cunningham and Duane Jones; Getting the Right Things Done: A Leader's Guide to Planning and Execution by Pascal Dennis; Lean Product and Process Development by Allen Ward; The Elegant Solution: Toyota's Formula for Mastering Innovation by Matthew May; Applying TWI to Retail Sales: Developing a Sales Boot Camp at La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries (Unpublished Journal Article) by Mike Martyn and Brad Parker.
