Standard Examiner - March 8, 2008Mark White, Sally O'Neill, and Diane Utley, veterans of the sales force of the Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau, have received the Dianne Nelson Binger Sales Leadership Award from Steve Lundgren, the newly-elected chairman of the Bureau's Board of Trustees. According to Lundgren, 2007 produced the largest booking month in 12 years when, in December, the Bureau sales team collectively confirmed 89,270 room nights for future years, projected to generate nearly $53 million in direct spending while in Salt Lake. White, vice president of sales and Bureau board member, has been with the Bureau since 1993. Hired as director of tourism, White advanced to the position of director of conventions in 1997 and took on the role of vice president of sales in 2002.
