Dallan Richard Moody – MBA 2008
Newsnet.byu.edu – March 31, 2008 The BYU Athletic Department has announced the hiring of Dallan Moody as the new associate athletic director over finance. Moody will replace Mike King, who is retiring after more than 20 years at BYU. Moody has more than 10 years of experience in the financial field. He most recently worked for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as senior auditor. As an auditor Moody worked directly with BYU, where he was involved in several endeavors, including the Athletics Department annual NCAA financial review. "We are excited to have Dallan Moody join our athletic department team," said BYU Director of Athletics Tom Holmoe. "He has tremendous passion for BYU Athletics. As a former auditor for the LDS Church, he brings a great deal of expertise and knowledge to our program. His understanding of the professional culture and work environment at BYU, combined with his knowledge of NCAA and MWC policies, will be invaluable to our program." As associate athletic director, Moody will oversee day-to-day operations of the athletic department budgeting including transactions, auditing systems and preparing regular reports. He will also oversee related compliance issues within the Athletic Department. "I am thrilled to be a part of the Brigham Young University family and the great tradition of BYU Athletics," Moody said. "As a former student, and life-long fan of the Cougars, I look forward to working in this exciting and successful environment." Moody, who graduated from BYU with a bachelor's degree in statistics, will graduate with a master's of business administration from Utah State in June of this year. Moody was raised in Kennewick, Wash. He is married to April Baadsgaard of Spanish Fork. They have four boys.
