Biography

Dr. Alison Cook is an Assistant Professor in the Management and Human Resources Department at Utah State University. She earned her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources from Purdue University. Alison currently teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in Organizational Behavior. Prior to arriving at Utah State, Alison taught Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior at Purdue University. She also taught an Organizational Behavior MBA course at Purdue’s International Program in Hannover, Germany.

Alison’s research interests focus on work-family policies and gender and diversity within the workforce. Current publications address why firms adopt work-family policies and shareholder reaction to those adoptions. Other working papers include examination of the Catalyst Award, which is a gender-based award; the impact of occupational segregation on work-family support and conflict perceptions, and its impact on work-family policy use rates; and acceptance of women in top management positions.
