The Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University is committed to preparing Master of Science in Human Resources (MSHR) students to navigate the global economy, develop an entrepreneurial mindset and become strong, ethical leaders. Students will discover the educational power generated in this strategic framework while the program will accelerate a student's professional career.
The Main Campus Program is a full-time, 36-46.5 credit program offered at USU’s main campus in Logan. Students are typically admitted in the fall and finish in about 16 months (August to the following December). The Executive Program is offered face-to-face in Salt Lake City and broadcast through live, interactive video conferencing to our centers located throughout the state of Utah. Fully aligned with the curriculum guides established by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), our program offers a competency-based curriculum that engages students in real world projects to enhance their strategic capabilities and experience.
Designated as a Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP), residents of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming can attend the MSHR program at Utah State University for resident tuition.

A key component of the program is an intensive international experience, usually done in partnership with global firms. Students travel with a senior HR executive and a faculty member to multiple international sites, gaining a unique perspective on the challenges of HR in global enterprise.
Accredited by both the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB International). AACSB accreditation is achieved by only the most prestigious schools in the country. In addition, USU's MSHR is one of only 13 HR degree programs that are fully aligned with the curriculum guides established by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM, the world’s largest professional association devoted to human resource management).
