Personal Biography:

Dan could best be characterized as a serial entrepreneur. Following a five year corporate career with payroll processing icon, Automatic Data Processing, Dan spent the next 20 years creating or reorganizing small businesses. These businesses ranged from computer software and services to equipment leasing and rural economic development. Prior to joining the USU faculty, Dan was serving as associate vice president for Institutional Advancement and Auxiliaries at College of Eastern Utah. Dan’s undergraduate degree is in computer science from BYU. He has an MBA in finance from the Ken Blanchard School of Business at Grand Canyon University. Dan serves as a member of the Carbon County Tourism Tax Board and the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce. He is married to Lina. They live in St. George and have four daughters and ten grandchildren. Dan is an aircraft owner and pilot and assists with the women’s basketball program at CEU.
