James Quigley was named chief executive officer of Deloitte & Touche USA in June 2003. He started as an auditor in Deloitte’s Salt Lake City office. Since then he has served numerous companies in a range of industries throughout the country. Mr. Quigley is currently active on the board of trustees of Central Park Conservancy, Catalyst, the Financial Accounting Foundation, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Lincoln Center Consolidated Corporate Fund, and the Partnership for New York City. Mr. Quigley was raised in southern Utah and both his mother and father are USU alums. He visited the College of Business at USU on November 11, 2005, as part of the Dean's Convocation Series. Mr. Quigley has been named one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting by "Accounting Today" for three consecutive years. He also has been awarded an honorary Doctor of Commercial Science degree from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts. Mr. Quigley has given generously to USU, primarily to the College of Business. He is an Old Main Sustaining Member, and received the Professional Achievement Award, and was recognized as the USU Alumni Newsletter Spotlight. He and his wife, Bonnie, currently live in New Canaan, Connecticut.
