National Testing Results

Colleges and universities throughout the United States use the Major Field Test in business developed by Educational Testing Services (ETS), Princeton, New Jersey, to measure student academic achievement and growth and to assess the educational outcomes of the business program’s core subjects collectively as well as separately.

2009 Logan Campus Seniors

A random sample of 133 graduating seniors at Utah State University’s Jon M. Huntsman School of Business took the April 2009. Percentile results are compared with 83,323 examinees nationally from 564 institutions. 

*Due to changes in the Business Test that were introduced in 2006, assessment indicators for the 2009 test cannot be compared to testing years prior to 2006.

2007 Distance Education Seniors

The ETS Major Field Test given to the seniors in the Distance Education program was a new version. This was the first year the new version was administerd. Consequesly there were significantly fewer institutions and students nationally who took the exam with which to compose results compared to the two previous years.

In the 2006 – 2007 school year, all 91 graduating seniors in Utah State University’s Jon M. Huntsman School of Business Distance Education program's capstone coursetook the test in April 2007. Percentile results are compared with 8,986 examinees nationally from 181 institutions.

In the 2005 – 2006 school year, a combined random sample of 133 graduating seniors at Utah State University’s Jon M. Huntsman School of Business took the test in December 2005 and April 2006. Percentile results are compared with 109,982 examinees nationally from 513 institutions.

2005 Logan Campus Seniors

In 2004 – 2005 school year, a combined random sample of 136 graduating seniors at Utah State University’s Jon M. Huntsman School of Business took the test in December 2004 and April 2005. Percentile results are compared with 80,044 examinees nationally from 469 institutions.
