David Hickox
Dave Hickox is an audit partner in the technology office in Palo Alto. He has been with Ernst & Young for more than 26 years. He specializes in working with software, networking and optical network equipment providers, and other technology driven companies. Dave specializes in strategic corporate transactions and worldwide operations of technology companies. Many of his clients have extensive, worldwide operations and have consummated large business acquisitions, primarily in the Unites States, Israel, and Europe. Some of his clients include Trimble Navigation, Intuit, Sybase, and Ask Jeeves.
Dave received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from USU in 1977. While he was a student, he worked for Partners in Business and for the dean of the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business , Richard L. Smith. He also submitted the initial request to convert the Accounting Society into a chapter of Beta Alpha Psi and served as the organization’s president during his senior year. In 2005 Dave was given the Professional Achievement Award. He has also hosted students for the Dine with Alumni event.
Dave and his wife, Loretta, have two daughters and live in Los Altos Hills, California. They donate regularly to the National Advisory Board Scholarship in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business as well as to the School of Accountancy.
