Allan Allred
Alan Allred is the president and CEO of Questar Gas Company and executive vice president of Questar Corporation. Questar is a natural gas energy company with three subsidiaries: Market Resources, which includes gas and oil exploration, development, and production; Questar Pipeline, which handles interstate gas transportation and storage; and Questar Gas for retail gas distribution. Mr. Allred, who joined Questar in 1978, previously served as executive vice president and COO of Questar Gas Company. Mr. Allred earned his BS in finance with a minor in economics from USU in 1974 and a MS degree in systems management from the University of Southern California. He currently serves on the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business National Advisory Board.
Alan has given to the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business , most recently to the National Advisory Board Scholarship. Questar Corporation has set up an education foundation for USU which is focused on scholarships programmatic support.
His spouse, Kathy, received a bachelor’s degree in English in 1972 from USU. Alan and Kathy have five children, two of them, Mark and Sara, are also USU grads. Alan and Kathy reside in Kaysville, Utah. They support the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business National Advisory Board Scholarship.
