Sponsored Research Projects
The following provides information concerning the sponsored research projects economists in the Department of Economics and Finance participated in during the specified year and illustrate a wide range of activities each year. These projects typically bring more than $4 million into the university each year from outside sources. Projects are funded by a range of funding agencies in both the public and private sectors. Funded activities include research, training, teaching, and extension efforts. The scope of the activities under sponsored research projects undertaken by the department include topics of local, state, regional, national, and international importance. USU economists commonly collaborate with other faculty members representing all of the colleges on campus. They also collaborate with scientists at other US and international universities, the private sector, and government agencies.
