The instruction is designed to teach students to assume a strategic role in helping organizations gain competitive advantage by building employee commitment, competence, and effectiveness. Required subject areas include human resource planning, recruiting, selection, placement, compensation and benefits, career planning, training and organizational development, labor and employee relations, ethical/legal employment practices, statistical methods, and program evaluation.
