General Information
Students are able to earn academic credit for internships completed in coordination with the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business internship office. In addition to our evaluation of the intern’s progress in the internship course, we rely on some assistance from the intern’s work supervisor in order to assign a fair grade for the experience. Specifically, work supervisors are asked to:
- Work with the student to develop specific goals or learning objectives to accomplish during the internship period
- Participate in an on-site or phone visit with the internship coordinator during the internship
- Complete an online evaluation of the intern’s performance at the end of the internship
In order to qualify for internship credit, an internship must be equivalent to the length of an academic semester (13-15 weeks for fall/spring semesters and 10-15 weeks for summer semester).
