2005 Results Business Major Field Test Educational Testing Service Comparison with Peer and Aspirant Institutions

Colleges and universities throughout the United States use the Major Field Test in Business developed by Educational Testing Services (ETS), Princeton, New Jersey, to measure student academic knowledgeh and to assess the educational outcomes of the business program’s core subjects collectively as well as separately. A combined random sample of 136 graduating seniors from Utah State University’s Jon M. Huntsman School of Business took the test in December 2004 and April 2005.

Peer Institutions

USU selected a group of ten peer public universities with AACSB Accredited Business Programs at the bachelor's and master's level. Percentile results are compared with 3,564 students at the these ten peer universities: Auburn University, Boise State University, California State University- Fullerton, California State University- Pomona University, Colorado State University, San Francisco State University, Southwest Missouri State University, Univerity of Illinois - Chicago, University of Missouri - Kansas City, and the University of Wyoming.

Percentile results are compared with 6,209 students at the these ten aspirant universities: Georgia State University, Kent State University, Louisiana State University, Rutgers University, Texas A&M University, University of Missouri - Columbia, University of Nebraska - Lincoln, University of South Florida, University of Tennessee - Knoxville, Washington State University.
