2006 Results Business Major Field Test Educational Testing Service

The Jon M. Huntsman School of Business is very pleased to report the outstanding performance of our graduating seniors (class of 2006) on the Educational Testing Service Major Field Test in Business. A combined random sample of 132 graduating seniors from Utah State University’s Jon M. Huntsman School of Business took the test in December 2005 and April 2006. The sample was selected by requiring all students in three sections of the capstone course to take the test. Compared to the 109,982 students taking the test nationally, students at Utah State University had a mean score in the 70th percentile. This mean score ranked USU in the 90th percentile compared to the 513 other institutions taking the test. The test assesses basic competency in the business core subjects of accounting, economics, management, quantitative business analysis, finance, marketing, legal and social environment, and international issues. Almost identical test results were achieved last year by the graduating class of 2005. We are very proud of the demonstrated competency of our students.
