Business Core Classes Assessment Spring 2006 - Fall 2006 Each department in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business teaches one or more courses in the core curriculum required of all majors. As part of our assessment efforts, the department has developed learning goals for each course and has testing built into the core curriculum that allows us to assure that students are learning the material. The charts show the students’ progress from pre-testing given early in the semester to the post-testing given around finals.

The chart below indicates the increase in percent correct of improvement between pre- and post-test measures in the core business courses taught by the School of Accountancy. Results are averaged across all sections of the course, by course learning goals. Almost all courses showed meaningful increases in student learning with improved outcomes in the second semester of assessment.
