Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) assists low- to mid- income individuals and foreign students complete their tax returns at no cost. Volunteers are trained and certified by the IRS on tax law and computer software. Participating in VITA is an excellent opportunity to apply tax knowledge and assist others.
Students support the School of Accountancy tutor lab by volunteering their time to assist students in beginning accounting courses (ACCT 2010 and ACCT 2020). Participants not only help others, but also further their understanding of accounting concepts and gain teaching-related experience.
Students can participate in committees to help plan events and assist officers with their duties.
Beta Alpha Psi participates in a number of service projects throughout the year, including food drives, diabetes walks, baby animal days at American West Heritage Center, and benefits for local organizations.
