Balanced Scorecard
The Balanced Scorecard Management System used by the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business identifies a number of specific measures from surveys and other assessment activities. Many of these measures come from comprehensive surveys conducted by the university’s Analysis, Assessment and Accreditation Office. The Jon M. Huntsman School of Business works closely with this office to gather data specifically on its graduating students, graduate students, and alumni.
Charts showing specific outcomes are available under each of the four areas of our Balanced Scorecard management system.
National Testing Results
Colleges and universities throughout the United States use the Major Field Test in business developed by Educational Testing Services (ETS), Princeton, New Jersey. It measures student academic knowledge to helpassess the educational outcomes of business programs’ core subjects collectively as well as separately. One hundred and thirty-six 2005 graduating seniors enrolled in the three sections of one of our capstone classes, MHR 4880, Business Strategy, were required to take the test. A similar approach was used to test 2006 graduating seniors. Business graduating students at the Utah State University Distance Education sites were tested in 2007.
