Clark Wilkinson receives UACPA Outstanding CPA in Public Practice - September 2009

Clark Wilkinson, of Wilkinson, Cooley and Company and School of Accountancy Advisory Board member, received the UACPA Outstanding CPA in Public Practice award, at Annual UACPA Awards Luncheon on August 20th at the Grand America in Salt Lake City, for extraordinary service rendered to the accounting profession. The nomination criteria that the Awards Task Force considers are:

  • Demonstrated superior professional competence
  • Provided exemplary leadership through prominent Association positions. Played a key leadership role in bringing about important positive changes. The contribution must have been made at considerable personal sacrifice beyond that normally expected.
  • Achieved a broadly based recognition and respect for the contribution.

Beyond Clark’s professional experience, he has stayed politically involved for years, spending significant
time in his role as AICPA Federal Key Person at both the State Legislature and at national meetings.
He has served as chair of the UACPA Federal Key Person committee since 1999; as well as a trustee on
the UCPA Political Action Committee, which he also chaired from 2003 - 2006. Clark has been a very active member and volunteer of the UACPA since joining in 1973.
