While as a student, Mr. Dursteler served as the elected student body senator for the Huntsman School of Business and as a city council member for Hyde Park City.
After graduation he worked for two regional accounting firms. One firm located in Logan, Utah, and one in Provo, Utah. He worked briefly as the CFO of Wasatch Acquisitions & Capital where he began his work in the field of bonds and with whom he is still affiliated as an investor. From there he worked as a senior analyst at Intermountain Health Care, in Salt Lake City, where he furthered his work in the area of tax-exempt bond financing.

He then negotiated the sale of the tax practice portion of the business to another regional accounting firm.
After this time, Mr. Dursteler worked as a partner in many real estate development and business ventures throughout Utah and Arizona.
Currently, he is the director and a board member of the C.L. Fred & Leora Mae Evans Family Charitable Foundation, in Logan, Utah.
